Religion Laced Occult
We Nigerians are known as one of the most religious countries in the world. Those of us who go to church are so committed that Jesus will come down to rejoice that he died on the cross. Those of us that practice Islam stop traffic on Fridays to show Allah that we are committed to him. This is remarkable and should reflect on how we treat each other. Unfortunately, that is not the case. In spite of our religious practices, we as a nation are selfish and self-centered people anyone could ever know. This innate behavior has opened a space for Religion laced Occult.
Religion Laced Occult
I heard of a story of a man coming into Ecobank his place of work and sprinkling blood all over the walls. Maybe he wants a promotion to get ahead? Whose blood was it? A businessman in Alaba market buried his sales girl alive and covered her grave with cement and tiles. What about a telecommunications company rumored Globacomm with a compound full of charms? Some of these people have space in their church or mosques reserved for perpetrators for their hefty donations. What about a girl taking her boyfriend as sacrifice for money? Does she tithe to the Redeem church, Mountain of Fire, or Christ Embassy? No one wants to wait for wealth, love, healing or whatever they need. The occult is the one stop shop for answers to all life’s questions.
Politicians and Occult
Take the average Nigerian that has political ambitions in a political party. Guess what, you would find someone who would gladly use Religion laced with occult. This is campaigning season; how many people will go missing? How many virgin girls would disappear from their families? What about pregnant women? Sons and daughters suffering mysterious illnesses and dying mysterious deaths? Some of these politicians end up in Churches and mosques donating the most money to clear their evil consciences. This is the reason Nigeria is so backward; these evil people lack empathy to serve the common man. Their motive for positions of power is not to serve but line their pockets with ill-gotten wealth. It is easy to point fingers at the politicians but look at the previous paragraphs, regular people commit these atrocities on a smaller scale.
How have churches and mosques address this wave of darkness that has infiltrated our country? Instead the religious leaders preach tithing to line their pockets with the proceeds of the occult. Daddy Freeze has become a controversial figure because he is addressing Christian pastors head on. Religion laced with occult has infiltrated our country and something needs to be done about it. Our Spiritual goals in 2018 need to address this cancer that has affected our nation Nigeria. In order to Transform Nigeria, the occult should be exposed and eradicated. Hopefully it would clear the scale from the eyes of our leaders to see the plight of the Nigerian citizen. Imams and Pastors…confront and fight the occult and the ill-gotten wealth and properties in its wake. This would show Nigerians the way to get to the very heart of God.
