Gratitude in the Midst of He Said/She Said
Well we have returned to the Maina Saga. What are we seeing right now before our eyes? President Buhari requested for a report explaining how his adminstration reinstated Maina into the Civil Service. The Johnathan administration appointed him in 2010 as the chairman of the Task force on Pension Reforms. Well, Maina embezzled N100 billion and was dismissed in 2013. He is a fugitive and surprisingly, reinstated and promoted to Director in the Buhari administration, and was up for another promotion. Only in our beloved country.
Right now, fingers are pointed at the Head of Civil Service, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-ita. She warned the president against the reinstatement of Maina. This memo got leaked and the president claimed he did not receive the letter. So, who is right or wrong…I guess we the citizens have to judge this matter.
Transform Nigeria Community
The Transform Nigeria community exists because frankly our government has failed us. Right now, our only hope is us as citizens is to become the best version of ourselves. What do I mean? Our generations to come will be disintegrated if we keep our hope in the current state of our government. We need to embrace gratitude to God for keeping us alive and well. With this gratitude we can align ourselves with our destiny and thrive in the midst of the chaos.
Let us embrace hope and understand that we should embrace integrity, truth, honor and justice. We can begin with our family, and community. If we embrace these virtues and let it spread to others, maybe we can rid ourselves from the cancer of corruption that is eating through our society.
