The Anambra Gubernatorial Election

ANAMBRARIANS PLEASE VOTE

My dear Nigerians, the time for the elections in Anambra which will set the tone for the two elections in 2018 is drawing near.  As a democratic society we have different views on the election.  The incumbent Governor Willie Obiano is campaigning hard to remain in office to continue some of the projects he started during his first 4 years.  I admire his grit in campaigning as he leaves nothing to chance.  One rule of engagement; never underestimate your opponent.  Mr. Oseloka Obaze, the PDP candidate has new ideas he wants to bring to the state based on his experience as a global professional in the UN and his work with former Governor Obi.  In addition, Tony Nwonye is the APC candidate and wants the epi-center of South-eastern Nigeria to be run by the current ruling party.  Osita Chidoka, a brilliant technocrat and a former civil servant has bright ideas that he brings into the mix.  The people of Anambra state are resolved to make the state a better place to live and do business.

Anambrarians have various views on the elections.  In previous post encouraging the citizens of Anambra to vote and the polls are flooded with comments.  There are issues that people are discussing on the last blog post.  Most picked out their candidates and other said “No Election”.  No matter your view, it is important to do your civic duty.  To gain success in your theory of change, it is important that you work on a journey to get justice and equity for the people of Anambra state.  Some of us think equity comes from seceding from the union of Nigeria.  Others think to work on our current democracy utilizing advocacy, we can all win.  Whichever part of the divide, it is still important to vote so that the current situation could change based your decision.

It is important to vote.  For starters, please take this poll so Transform Nigeria can collate your opinion on the elections.
