2018 Spiritual Goals
Does the Snake and Monkey Represent a religion?
On a lighter note, What religion do we call the Snake who swallowed the NGN 35 million jamb money and the monkey who stole money from the Northern Nigerian Senate? News is out that an Elephant broke into First bank and stole money. I am not sure how true that is; i guess time will tell. Who turns into a snake? Well your guess is just as good as mine. The analogy does not make any sense and the religion that practices animals stealing money should be put in check. We need faith and the will to know that prosperity comes from hard work. The kind of prosperity that makes us sleep at night. Somebody tell me…what religion is that again so I stay away. Is this part of someone’s 2018 Spiritual Goals? I don’t want anyone turning me into an animal for prosperity reasons.
2018 Spiritual Goals
What are our 2018 spiritual goals as Nigerians? I’m not talking about religious goals whether we be Christian or Muslim. What is our connection to the power higher than us? If it is Islam that you use to connect to that higher source how do you show your faith? Is it for the love of mankind and love of country? What about Christianity? The religion is so divided that there is division within itself. How are you showing love for one another and love for the country Nigeria?

Nigeria and Religious Differences
The country has been broken down into religious lines. The religion is causing hatred for us towards each other. The nation is full of death and destruction because of religious beliefs. Nigerians don’t we want our country to be greater than our forefathers? Spirituality is an important aspect of our daily lives. We should be connected to our source at all times. Spiritual goals should be an intricate part of goal setting in 2018. What are your 2018 spiritual goals? I know mine is to get closer to God. Not in a religious sense of going to mass and doing the regular rituals. Those things bore me in actuality depending on the priest performing the homily for that week.

My husband and I would dred the assistant parish priest of our church in Lagos doing the homily because we end up taking a nap in the middle of mass. I’m not sure how it is in Islam. The reality is that getting connected to the higher source and understanding why we have be put here on this earth is helpful.
In my opinion, if our nation embraced spiritual goals we would be a lot further than we are right now. Spirituality gives each and every one of us a conviction of right and wrong. If we as a nation set up our spiritual goals to fulfill our higher calling of being just to others, we would be in a better place. In order to Transform Nigeria, each of us as individuals no matter what we call God, we have to build our spirituality so we can love one another.
