12 Celebrities of Christmas

There are 12 celebrities of Christmas who have used their talents to give back to society. Transform Nigeria wants to showcase celebrities who are also philanthropists in 2017.  Nigerian Celebrities have the visibility to give back to the country.  We are going to showcase some of them that are gifted and give back to society.  Christmas time is a season of giving so we are going to show case from 12 now to one on Christmas day.

Desmond Elliot

9. Desmond Elliot

Desmond Elliot was born to a Yoruba father from Olowogbowo in Lagos Island.  His a mother from Illah in Oshimili North, Delta State.  Elliot received his primary education at Air Force Primary School and later attended St John’s College, both in Jos. In 2003 he graduated from Lagos State University where he studied Economics.  Desmond Elliot is a Nigerian actor, director who has starred in over two hundred films along with a number of television shows and soap operas.

Elliot is also a politician who cares for the public in Lagos.  He is a lawmaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Surulere Constituency.

in 2010, Elliot became the ambassador for the Face of Hope Project.  The organization is a “volunteer-based non-profit organization established to give hope to the hopeless.   Desmond Elliot, Mercy Aigbe Volunteer To Champion a Campaign Against Widows Maltreatment In Nigeria.  Within two years in office, he gave out school buses to enable free rides to children in Surulere.

He is a strong advocate of the “Not Too Young To Run Campaign”, and champions the cinematography international youth program University of Lagos. On October 2017 he partnered with all Motor dealers in Surulere to provide 5,000 GCE forms for students in Surulere.
